We do not have water frontage, but you will find a number of public access areas nearby - plus Lake Michigan beaches not far away. Or, you may rent a boat or boat slip from the adjacent resort, which would allow you waterfront privileges. All units have nice yards with a mix of sun and shade, outdoor grills, picnic tables, some lawn chairs and a clothesline. A pleasant lake breeze is typical, but we furnish ample fans for use when needed. Other items furnished include: *Bed linens and a limited supply of towels *Toilet paper, paper towels, dish soap and liquid hand soap *Necessary cleaning equipment and supplies (Though we clean between renters, we're grateful for your helpful efforts.) All units are within a short distance of our residence, so we are available to take care of what you might need to make your stay most enjoyable. In turn, we appreciate your consideration in the use of our accommodations. We typically discourage inside smoking and pets. We also assume that you will not be entertaining guests without first checking with us.    "COZY CABIN" is a two-room unit. Living, dining and kitchen are included in one room, which is furnished with a newer hide-a-bed, one easy chair, TV/VCR, stove with oven, microwave, coffeemaker, dining table and a newer refrigerator. The second room is a combination bedroom/bathroom with two chests, a newer double bed, and a sink/vanity. The toilet and small shower are in a semi-partitioned, curtained corner out of the bedroom proper. Electric heat takes the chill off if the weather turns cool. The pleasant deck offers a good view of Hamlin Lake, just across the road. Though small, suitable for only two, nearly all who have stayed have been well satisfied. Two people $425/week, $65/night    "NORTH HOUSE" is a small home which accommodates up to four people comfortably. The larger bedroom has a double bed. A single bed and stacked laundry are in the smaller bedroom. The conveniently close bathroom has a small shower. The pleasant living room has TV/VCR Solar panels/drapes offer shade from the afternoon sun and privacy from the road at appropriate times. The well-supplied kitchen has a new stove and refrigerator. The entrance goes into a sunroom, which has not yet been updated like the rest of the house. However, it offers extra room, a large desktop for activities, puzzles, etc., an additional small table and a large comfortable cot. Though the front yard is limited, the back yard is ample and very pleasant. Three to four people: $625/ week, $90/night Two people: $600/week, $85/night    "HILL HOUSE" is a three bedroom home. It has a double bed in each of two bedrooms and a single bed in the third, plus a comfortable roll-away cot. The living room has a ceiling fan, fireplace and TV/VCR. A roomy kitchen is supplied with about everything you could need and has ample space for the dining table. There is a large shower in the bathroom and a convenient washer/dryer. A small covered back porch serves as the entrance while the front deck looks out over the wooded hill to Hamlin Lake, across the road below. We think you'll enjoy this pleasant vintage cottage with a nautical theme and many of the conveniences of home. Four to five people $675/week, $99/night Advance reservations are suggested. Summer rentals are usually by the week: Saturday to Saturday for the "Cozy Cabin" and "North House"; Sunday to Sunday for the "Hill House". Spring & fall rates are reduced by 15% with two night minimums. A personal check will be acceptable for a deposit, as we do not take charge cards. Check or cash will be needed to pay the balance at check-in. A 6% sales tax will be added to the rental rate. Typically, deposits will be refunded only if units can be re-rented, but some exceptions may apply. Check-in is between 3pm & 6pm. Check-out by 10am. Other time arrangements should be discussed in advance. Directions to our residence office: Go west through Ludington, then north on Lakeshore Drive. At about two miles out, take right fork which veers away from M-116. About two miles farther, take left bridge and follow Hamlin Lake shoreline about one mile to 3830 North Lakeshore Drive, across from Sunny Birch Resort. We will show you to your vacation rental.
