Fish for the plentiful Steelhead Trout, Brown, Rainbow and Brook Trout. Hunt for the abundant gourmet delightful morel mushrooms. Or simply enjoy the sights, sounds and smells of Western Michigan emerging into spring.

SUMMER:

Point Comfort provides a spectacular view of Upper Hamlin Lake sunrises and sunsets. Hamlin Lake is 10 miles long and 1-1/2 miles wide. It is a great lake for sailing, skiing, cruising or fishing. The Ludington State Park, on the west side of the lake, provides sand dunes and sandy beaches for swimming and sun bathing. The State Park has many miles of marked trails for hikers. Point Comfort Resort includes a large lawn area. Swimming and water sports are also available.

FALL:

The season to fish for the great Coho, Atlantic and Chinook Salmon. Thousands are taken each year from the Great Lake Michigan. Hunting is popular for deer, small game and waterfowl. Best of all, Indian Summer is an array of gorgeous fall colors, so bring your camera for some breathtaking pictures.

Fisherman's Paradise

Hamlin Lake abounds with tiger muskie, northern pike, large and small mouth bass, walleye, bluegill, crappie and perch. The resort has docks for boats up to 24' and a free launch ramp. A new closed-in fish cleaning shelter makes fish cleaning comfortable in any weather.
