Ludrock Nation Supports the Community Through Many Events

Ludrock Nation is a nonprofit organization inspired by the power of music to benefit the identified needs of the Ludington area. Ludrock’s vision is to motivate and inspire current and future generations of musicians and provide an outlet to give back to the community.

The organization began as a group of Ludington High School alumni who would come together each year for “music and friends”. Through this group, the idea to turn this casual get together into an organization that would raise money for non-profits through an annual concert was born. Smaller fundraisers evolved from the main event.

Many local businesses support Ludrock’s mission by contributing to their events. Whether monetarily, in-kind, or product; Ludington businesses love Ludrock! One of their biggest supporters is Instrumental Music & Sound. Ludrock President, Ed Santarelli said, “Ludrock has had many successes over the years and Instrumental Music has been a big part and reason for that. They are the ‘official’ music store of Ludrock.”

Girls Rock

April 2025

Girls Rock is an event sponsored by The Zonta Club of the Ludington Area and coordinated by Ludrock.  This event celebrates “Girl Power” and is typically held at the Ludington Area Center for the Arts– 107 S. Harrison St. Local female musicians, singers, and artists of all ages perform live at the Ludington Area Center for the Arts performance hall. Between musical performances, local women from various walks of life will tell short stories of outstanding accomplishments, perseverance, overcoming obstacles, activism, and contributions to the local community. This event aims to celebrate and empower women and inspire others to follow their dreams, set personal goals, and positively impact the local community by their contributions. It’s a cause worth celebrating and will be an amazing event not to be missed.

The Main Event: Ludrock

Ludrock was generally held at Waterfront Park on the weekend closest to Ludington’s popular Ludington Area Jaycees Freedom Festival. It featured live music from local bands and musicians. The event also included a Kids Crafts Area, food, drinks, and event memorabilia available for purchase.

2023 was the 10th and final year for this two-day music fundraising festival as we know it, with the current group’s emphasis turning to their other smaller events. There is hope in the community that the festival will be taken over by another entity in the future so stay tuned for the most updated information!

Information on upcoming Ludrock events will be updated here as it becomes available. Stay tuned!
